Dari language and cultural classes are designed for children born in the UK to help them connect with our culture and heritage. These classes aim to teach the Dari language, as well as Hazara traditions, history, and customs, fostering a strong cultural identity among young members of the community.
The primary focus of these classes is to teach children to read, write, and speak Dari fluently. The curriculum includes:
Basic Vocabulary and Grammar: Introducing fundamental words and sentence structures.
Reading and Writing: Teaching children to read and write in Dari, starting with the alphabet and progressing to more complex texts.
Conversational Skills: Encouraging children to speak Farsi through interactive activities, role-playing, and dialogues.
Cultural Education & Identity:
Alongside language lessons, the classes provide a comprehensive understanding of Hazara culture, heritage and Identity,
Traditional Celebrations: Teaching about Nowruz Yalda Night, and other significant cultural events.
Literature and Poetry: Introducing children to classical Persian literature and poetry, including works by famous poets and authors,Community Engagement. These classes also aim to strengthen the sense of community among Hazara families in the UK:
Group Activities:
Organising group projects, performances, and exhibitions to showcase what the children have learned.
Family Involvement: Encouraging parents to participate in the learning process, fostering a supportive environment at home.
Cultural Events: Hosting cultural events and festivals to celebrate Hazara heritage and provide a platform for children to practice their language skills and cultural knowledge.

Thank you very much for your interest in Dari classes for your children. We really appreciate you reaching out to Qaaem Foundation.
At the moment, we are not running any classes. Our first and main goal is to purchase a permanent place for the community, which will allow us to launch and sustain educational programs such as Dari language classes in the future. Once this goal is achieved, we will be pleased to announce all upcoming classes, including schedules, hours, and fees, on our website.
